Passenger travel arrangements at international land border crossings
Border crossings:
Departure from Israel to Jordan and Egypt by Israeli / foreign nationals will be made through the Jordan River border crossings, Yitzhak Rabin and Menachem Begin (Taba) subject to presentation of a certificate of payment of an outgoing passenger fee according to the Airports Authority regulations for the date of departure.
Departure to Sinai via Menachem Begin Crossing (Taba):
The operating hours for passenger transfers are Sunday-Saturday between the hours of 08: 00-20: 00. Vaccinated passengers with a valid vaccination certificate are allowed to move to Egypt, without the need for a PCR test. Passengers who are not vaccinated as well as recovering are required (by the Egyptians) for approval in English of a negative corona test (PCR) test or a negative institutional antigen test, on which a bar code is stamped and performed in the last 72 hours before the transfer date. Please note that the number of vehicles authorized at the Menachem Begin crossing is limited.
Exit to the Jordan via the Jordan River Crossing:
The operating hours for passenger transit are, on Sundays-Thursdays between the hours of 08: 30-15: 30.
A registration certificate for the transfer, valid for the transfer date, is required at SHEIH HUSSEIN BRIDGE on the VISIT JORDAN website. In addition, a corona negative PCR test performed in the last 72 hours prior to the transition date is required.
Departure to Jordan via the Yitzhak Rabin crossing:
The operating hours for passenger transit are, on Sundays-Thursdays between the hours of 08: 30-15: 30.
Vaccinated passengers with a vaccinated certificate (in English) as well as children under the age of 6 are allowed to cross into Jordan, without the need for a PCR test.
Passengers who are not vaccinated as well as recovering are required to have an English corona (PCR) negative test performed in the last 72 hours prior to the transition date. All passengers are required to coordinate in advance with a Jordanian guide.
Please note that crossing with vehicles will be possible until 14:00.
Departure to Jordan via the Allenby border crossing:
The approval of the Jordanian authorities is required in advance.
Entry into Israel through the border crossings will be possible in accordance with the guidelines detailed below:
Passengers who are not vaccinated or recovering from corona will be required to stay in isolation in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health. The place of isolation (at home or in a motel) for those who are required for isolation, will be determined by a representative of the Population Authority in the transition in accordance with criteria published on the website of the Ministry of Health and arrival at the place of isolation will be independent.
3. All passengers entering the country are required to perform a PCR test performed at the border crossing, through representatives of the Ministry of Health. The test involves a payment of NIS 100, you can pay at the exit at Milgam counters or by credit card.
